In November 2016, Mergent, Inc. was acquired by The London Stock Exchange Group and became Mergent by FTSE Russell. I have been working closely with Mergent since late 2015; understanding, learning and most importantly enjoying the evolution of their company as a leader of business and financial data. Their desire to fulfill and effectuate more creative outlets has allowed me to design in more exploratory ways in bridging the gap between the layperson demographic and Mergent's economic realm. The ALA Conference is presented by the American Library Association, the oldest and largest library association in the world. Mergent by FTSE Russell is a regular exhibitor at the biggest Librarian Conferences around the US. Their booths host various product demos, discussions, networking cocktail hours and trivia games. The "Fly Atlantic" script captured a timeless look, while the festive design features a playful twist: Santa in a sleigh soaring through the clouds, with a nod to Virgin’s spirit of adventure and travel.       <image:caption>Caswell Station | Charlotte, NC USA Caswell Station is a neighborhood bar and grill located in Charlotte, NC. The ownership group for Caswell Station (&amp; Graham St Pub &amp; Patio) came to us in early 2017 after having acquired a vacant space in the Elizabeth Historic District. The foundation of the creative brief revolved around restoring the authenticity and historic value of the neighborhood. It was in 1902, after the much anticipated completion of the trolley line, that the neighborhood began to rapidly develop. In a bid to mirror the rejuvenation of this era, the name 'Caswell Station' was decided upon, laying the foundation of the district's new dining hub at the Caswell/7th St junction, while paying homage to it's trolley line beginnings.</image:caption>

The sheer number of assets the identity spanned was vast, but by carefully curating each piece, we ensured that the 40th Anniversary identity worked cohesively and flexibly, from grand celebrations to intimate, everyday encounters. Each element reflected the heritage and excitement of Virgin Atlantic, creating a visual narrative that engaged both long-time customers and new audiences alike.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>40th Anniversary Identity // Virgin Atlantic // 2024 I played a leading role in the design and rollout of the Virgin Atlantic 40th Anniversary identity, helping to create a visual representation of the brand’s legacy and future. The original ‘40’ silhouette was designed by the talented Toby Tinsley, setting the foundation for this iconic milestone. To complement this, I hand-drew the ‘th’ to perfectly match the Virgin script font, ensuring the elements came together in a cohesive and dynamic way. I meticulously refined the colours, gradients, shadows, and tonal values of the design, ultimately crafting the final 40th Anniversary lockup. This lockup became the cornerstone of the entire creative campaign, used across every touchpoint from digital assets to physical installations. Additionally, I had the unique opportunity to collaborate with aircraft engineers to design the livery for the Virgin Atlantic 40th Anniversary plane, which was proudly showcased at the Farnborough International Airshow. This was a thrilling challenge that required refining and expanding the original design to ensure it worked seamlessly on the Airbus A330-900, blending artistry with engineering precision.</image:caption>

Providing a great understanding of the 7 ‘Xtraordinary’ strengths that come with dyslexia, the book was illustrated by Steven Woods, who used superhero characters to highlight the 7 categories.
